Meet our Founder, Kim Godby!
Kim Godby is a second-generation native Las Vegan and has family roots in Las Vegas going back to the 1930s.
She obtained her degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Business Management, and worked in retail management until her children were born.
She loved being home with her children full time, and was very active in their education, and a frequent and dedicated volunteer at St. Viator School.
When her children got older and the time came to begin working again, she wanted to find something that allowed her to help people, and work with horses.
Kim grew up around horses and always longed to have them back in her life.
In 2011, her family adopted their first horse, Higgins, from Shiloh Horse Rescue...and that is where it all began! Kim loved having horses in her life again and especially loved sharing them with others. She became certified with EAGALA as an Equine Specialist in 2014 and began working with therapists in the area practicing equine-assisted psychotherapy.
In 2018, Kim established her facility “Hold Your Horses”, located in Henderson, NV. She continues to offer equine-assisted coaching for individuals and small groups.
Kim has a natural ability for teaching and empowering others. She is nurturing, caring and supportive of all her clients. Her knowledge of equine-assisted learning shines when working with children and adolescents, and she's eager to help people heal and grow through the power of horses!
