Kids Yoga with Horses

Join us for this fun and beneficial yoga practice just for children in our outdoor studio, with the addition of horses and fresh air! Your children will love it, and gain wonderful benefits!

Yoga and mindfulness have been shown to improve both physical and mental health in school-age children. Physically, yoga improves balance, strength, posture, flexibility, and endurance in children. Yoga and mindfulness offer psychological benefits for children as well. A growing body of research has already shown that yoga can improve focus, memory, self-esteem, academic performance, and classroom behavior, and can even reduce anxiety and stress in children.

Michele Hayden is an elementary school teacher, whose side passion is teaching yoga to children. She is a certified yoga instructor, as well as mini yogis certified, and she has been teaching yoga to children since 2014. In the classroom, she has seen that yoga has helped her students learn self-monitoring skills, breathing techniques, positive self-talk, and helped them with focusing skills. 

In this practice, children will also benefit from the therapeutic energy of horses, and time spent outside in nature. There will be plenty of time for horse interaction and hugs!

Please wear closed-toe shoes (which can be removed during yoga), and bring a yoga mat and a towel or blanket to put underneath the mat. A water bottle is also recommended.

We are located in Henderson off I-95 and College Drive. The address will be provided after ticket purchase. Please use actual street address provided to map your directions.
